Within the scope of this activity, the aim is to enhance the skills, knowledge, and competencies of health professionals working in microbiology laboratories in using innovative technologies before, during, and after disasters. In this context, a training program framework has been developed that covers the phases of Pre-Disaster, During Disaster, and Post-Disaster. Within the framework of the developed training modules, a pilot implementation will be carried out as a training simulation titled “Preparedness for Disasters – Microbiology Laboratory Staff Training”, hosted by the Department of Medical Microbiology at Mersin University.
